On August 30, 2024, the three-day IOTE 2024 International Internet of Things Exhibition and the AGIC 2024 International Artificial General Intelligence Conference successfully concluded at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center.
Organized by Ulink Media, the event was held under the theme “AI with Impact · An Infinite Future”. Positioned as an industry trendsetter, application scenario demonstrator, and industrial accelerator, the exhibition focused on three core components: one conference, one exhibition, and multiple parallel forums, creating a high-level platform for industry exchange and collaboration.

President Xi Jinping has emphasized that accelerating the development of next-generation artificial intelligence is a critical strategic lever for China to gain the initiative in global technological competition. It is also a key strategic resource for driving technological breakthroughs, industrial upgrading, and comprehensive productivity growth.
Within this context, Shenzhen has emerged as a world-leading hub for artificial intelligence, characterized by strong resource aggregation, abundant application scenarios, and a complete industrial ecosystem. The city plays a vital role in Greater Bay Area leadership, industrial transformation, compliant governance, and collaborative innovation, continuously contributing to the global advancement of the AI industry.
A Convergence of AI Innovation, diverse Applications Inspire New Technological Pathways
AGIC 2024 and the IOTE 2024 jointly brought together 800+ enterprises and institutions, showcasing nearly 1,000 innovative products across: AI foundational, technology, and application layers, Intelligent sensing terminals, Robotics, Unmanned and autonomous systems. The exhibition attracted nearly 100,000 visits, drawing widespread attention from professional audiences and potential partners, and presenting a concentrated display of AI industry innovation.
Technology Highlights from Industry Leaders
Tencent showcased its self-developed general-purpose foundation model Hunyuan, featuring trillion-parameter scale and a Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) architecture.
KOALA URAN presented its multimodal industry-grade foundation model solutions, empowering applications in industrial inspection, production safety, transportation, urban governance, and gas utilities. The rapid improvements in model accuracy and application breadth are driving frontier research while also triggering exponential growth in computing resource demand.
China Unicom unveiled its “Low-Altitude Intelligent Networking” model, supporting China’s “Hundreds, Thousands, and Tens of Thousands Project”.
ShiMeta demonstrated over 30 AI algorithms across three categories, including facial analysis systems, video structuring systems, and intelligent alert systems, compatible with major ecosystems such as Android, Linux, and HarmonyOS.
ZNV introduced a zero-code AI development platform, enabling rapid AI application deployment without the need for programming.
UBTECH’s Walker humanoid robot marked significant progress toward the vision of “bringing robots into everyday life,” particularly in autonomous intelligence and human–robot collaboration, highlighting the expanding role of robotics in real-world living and working environments.
Beauty Magic Cube demonstrated AI-powered health technology solutions, while Shuying Technology’s “Smart Future Pig Farm” delivered integrated solutions for environmental control and intelligent breeding. SmartFish showcased AI-driven smart feeding and cloud-based aquaculture management.
From Models to Solutions: AI Empowering Every Industry
From cloud services, big data, foundation models, and computing infrastructure to robotics and AI application platforms, the exhibition vividly illustrated how breakthroughs in large-scale models and intelligent solutions are reshaping industries. Visitors gained first-hand insight into how AI is transforming production, operations, and daily life, while enterprises benefited from practical references and implementation pathways.
Immersive Experiences: Technology Comes to Life
An AR/VR interactive experience zone was specially created for AI enthusiasts. Through hands-on demonstrations and immersive activities, the exhibition showcased the seamless integration of technology and entertainment, sparking imagination and creativity while offering audiences a more intuitive understanding of artificial intelligence.
Expert Insights: Forums Reveal the Future
The AGIC 2024 focused on cutting-edge AI development and applications, hosting 30+ thematic forums.More than 300 industry leaders, including academicians, professors from research institutes and universities, and senior executives from leading enterprises, engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as: Robotics and embodied intelligence, Foundation models, Edge computing, Computing–network integration, AI systems and platforms, AI + industry applications, New quality productive forces, AI standards, talent development, investment, and entrepreneurship.
During the conference, key milestones included the release of the “Shenzhen AI Industry Standards System Research Report”, “the AI Application Scenarios White Paper”, as well as multiple strategic cooperation signing ceremonies.
